At Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center, we understand many people struggle to lose weight. That’s why we offer a range of weight loss treatments, including Compounded Semaglutide.

We believe that weight loss should be approached holistically, with a focus on healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle changes. We want to offer you these options through your Primary Care Provider to help you meet your individual needs and goals. In order to achieve maximum long-lasting results, we also encourage you to meet with our Registered Dietitian to create a comprehensive plan that will help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight for life.

About The Process

To schedule:
· Choose specialty as Primary Care
· Choose your provider or one of our Nurse Practitioners, Alicia Loper or Juliet Lee who both specialize in this
· Office selection is Rittenhouse Internal Medicine
· Visit reason – New Weight Consult

During this visit, we will discuss your history, risk factors, determine if laboratory testing is required and discuss treatment options.


We will have you schedule an in-office appointment with one of our Medical Providers to start each 4-week program

Your Provider will go over your personal plan, explain how to administer injections, and storage of the medication.


As you progress through the program, you will work with your Provider to discuss long and short-term goals, and come up with a plan for your maintenance phase when desired

We encourage you to see our Registered Dietician as most insurance plans cover the cost of these visits.

We are proud to be able to offer this new service to our patients in a medically controlled environment.


How much does the compounded semaglutide cost?

The monthly cost to you is $550 and this includes the visit with our Nurse Practitioner who will check you weight and vital signs, increase your dosage if appropriate, and chart your progress as well as answer any questions you may have.


Does my Insurance cover this?

Insurance does not cover compounded semaglutide.

What are the effects of semaglutide?

Studies show that semaglutide helps with:

Who can use Compounded Semaglutide?

If you are healthy and not pregnant or lactating and do not have a known allergy to any of the ingredients, you should be able to use it safely. However, make sure to discuss with us any other medications you are taking or any allergies or chronic health conditions you have prior to using semaglutide. Tell your prescribing physician if you or anyone in your family has or has ever had MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2.

How is Compounded Semaglutide taken?

Typically, it is a once-weekly injectable, but your particular dose and protocol will be determined by your provider. You will come into our office once a month to receive your pre-filled syringes and cold packs for the 4 weeks during your treatment plan.

What are some of the side effects of Compounded Semaglutide?

Side effects include swelling/redness/itching at the injection site, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation may occur. Nausea usually lessens as you continue to use Semaglutide. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor promptly.
