Practice Manager

Job Description:

The Practice Manager provides strategic leadership, supervision and direction in regards to all administrative, regulatory, quality, human resources, patient/employee satisfaction, financial and clinical aspects for the following scope:

24+ staff directly and indirectly managed

Complexity Factors (may likely involve some of the following factors of practice complexity): coordinating multiple clinical specialties, complex regulatory requirements, management of external partnerships/collaborations.

Reports To: Owner of RWWC

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Rittenhouse Square)

Responsibilities:

Ensures management of daily practice operations run efficiently and effectively – including:

  • patient scheduling, billing, and coordination of services
  • providing quality care to patients; championing quality initiatives with the providers and staff, including overseeing Tandigm, PQIP, and exploring other quality enhancement opportunities
  • maintaining a patient/customer focus as evidenced by patient satisfaction scores and other indicators
  • offering a collaborative work environment that values professional ownership/accountability for physicians and staff as demonstrated through retention and engagement/satisfaction scores
  • regularly reviewing work processes to ensure efficiency of work flow, including implementation of technology and best practices
  • complying with regulatory requirements
  • serving as liaison to specialists, providers and acts as point person for general facility management
  • managing (directly and indirectly) practice staff

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ year’s relevant experience, including at least 1 year prior management experience in a healthcare setting. Financial experience is preferred. Degrees may be considered in lieu of total experience.

Knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience with CPT and ICD-9 coding

Experience with pre-certifications and scheduling

Demonstrated interpersonal verbal/written communication skills

Strong communication skills with all levels of staff and personnel

Demonstrated analytical skills

Must display flexibility

Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)

Experience using EMR systems – specifically eClincialWorks

Experience using accounting software – specifically Quickbooks

Ability to understand and utilize all systems required for this position


Family/Internal Medicine Physician 

Job Description:

The Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center, www.RWWC.com is looking for an Internist or Family Medicine Physician. Our physicians spend 30-45 minutes with new patients, follow-up appointments are 15 minutes; balanced schedule; higher earnings; stock options; educated and professional patient base; extremely professional and pleasant work environment.

Reports To: Owner/Medical Director of Internal Medical Practice

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Rittenhouse Square)

Description of Medical Practice: Growing, 10 year old women’s primary care and gynecology practice with a beautiful office located in the prestigious Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia. After-Hours call 1 week every 6 weeks but very limited due to age demographic of patient base. No outside call or work such as nursing home. No admitting. Practice environment is characterized by a high commitment to exceptional patient care, spending appropriate time to get to know your patients, EMR system, a patient base of professional women (over 85% have college degrees or higher and are employed; 10% are current college or graduate students). Our staff includes registered dieticians, PhD. Psychologists, Nurse Practitioners and Aestheticians. Our other staff includes medical assistants, front desk receptionists and managers. Our employees pride themselves in improvement and efficiency, and office harmony.

Requirements: MD or DO with completion of residency in family or Internal Medicine. Experience with ThermiVa preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities: Provide medical services as a primary care physician to patients. Support the clinical practice with a desire for the practice to grow, thrive and exceed the expectations of our community. Coordinate all professional medical services required by those patients who request or accept care from you.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: undertaking assessments, including assessment of mental health needs, risk assessment and psychometric testing; formulating a psychological explanation of the client’s issues; planning and implementing therapy; evaluating the outcome of therapy; establishing a collaborative working relationship with the client based on trust and respect; continuing personal and professional development (CPD).

Responsibilities: Our Dermatologist must diagnose and treat disorders of the skin, such as acne, rashes, and warts, as well as various types of skin cancer. Assess patient’s conditions, medical histories and perform minimally invasive diagnostic tests. In terms of treatment, prescribe preventive medications such as topical ointments or creams and perform surgical procedures when necessary – such as the removal of tumors or suspicious moles.

Our Gynecologist typically spends anywhere from 30-60 minutes with patients; balanced schedule; higher earnings; stock options; educated and professional patient base; extremely professional and pleasant work environment.

Must be able to execute the following procedures:

Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (Leep)

Biopsy

Endometrial Biopsy

Bartholin Gland I&D

Ultrasounds

IUD insertion and removal

Pelvic Floor injections

Thermiva (preferred but not required)

O-Shot (preferred but not required)

Reports To: Owner/Medical Director of Internal Medical Practice

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Rittenhouse Square)

Description of Medical Practice: Growing, 10 year old women’s primary care and gynecology practice with a beautiful office located in the prestigious Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia. No outside call or work such as nursing home. No admitting. Practice environment is characterized by a high commitment to exceptional patient care, spending appropriate time to get to know your patients, EMR system, a patient base of professional women (over 85% have college degrees or higher and are employed; 10% are current college or graduate students). Our staff includes registered dieticians, PhD. Psychologists, Nurse Practitioners and Aestheticians. Our other staff includes medical assistants, front desk receptionists and managers. Our employees pride themselves in improvement and efficiency, and office harmony.

Requirements: MD or DO, GYN (FACOG preferred but not required). Experience with Thermiva and O-Shot is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Occasional phone availability after hours from on call physician (strictly emergencies)

Medical Assistant 

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Summary: Acts as a liaison between the physician and the patient.  Offers friendly, courteous and confidential assistance to all patients. Collects accurate clinical information on each patient.  Uses EMR systems to expedite patient care.  Works with others in a team environment.

Reports to: Practice Director

Duties:  (This list may not include all duties assigned)

  1.  Open and/or close office as needed
  2.  Prep doctor’s office and exam rooms
  3.  Log into computers
  4.  Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
  5.  Escort patients to exam rooms
  6.  Chart patient vital signs, chief complaints and HPI, review meds, allergies for doctors
  7.  Administer, chart and bill vaccines, therapeutic injections, venipuncture, EKGs
  8.  Prepare specimens for lab
  9. Receive and handle calls and/or voicemails throughout the day
  10. Assist physician with tasks as requested
  11.  Call in medications as directed by the physician
  12.  Communicate with patients as directed by the physician
  13.  Complete any urgent insurance precerts, priorauths and referrals.
  14.  Respond promptly to patient and inner-office communications
  15. Clean and stock exam rooms
  16.  Sterilize equipment
  17. Compile order list daily
  18.  Regularly check for expired samples/meds/supplies
  19.  Fax documents as needed
  20. Monitor and take care of documents and messages in MA, Pine account
  21.  Chart temperature of refrigerators daily
  22.  Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
  23.  Attend all staff meetings
  24.  Other duties and special projects as needed
